cyber garden & coffee house
stopped in lincoln city for some coffee in the summer of 2008. found this coffee house. i got two words for ya: AWESOME. they know how to make coffee better than 98% of the coffee shops out there. check 'em out when your in lincoln city.
UPDATE: As of 11/2008 this coffee shop has changed ownership. Unfortunately the new owner/barista makes coffee like the rest of the main stream shops. One positive is he carried over a couple good methods from the last owner; he appeared that he still weighs his tamp and didn't grind the beans till I ordered, so that still puts him slightly above the rest of the pack. The taste was decent, again better than most, but lacking from our last visit with the other owner.

goshen coffee company
out in the middle of the midwest (edwardsville, il) of all places, this place pulls with a naked portafilter, grinds for the pull as well. it was goooooood. turns out they moved there from seattle.
